Jordan Farmer – Senior Attorney

Jordan represents community associations in transactional corporate issues, enforcement litigation and assessment collections matters. Jordan has worked on HOA law matters since 2019 beginning as a law clerk and legal extern for Tim Flanagan.

Litigation Successes

In 2022, Jordan second-chaired a nine-day jury trial obtaining a favorable judgment for the Association by preventing an Owner from renting out rooms in his two (2) homes as boarding homes/mini-dorms in a large master association in violation of the association's single-family residential use restriction. The association also received a monetary award for $103,500.00 in fines and $1.2 Million in attorney’s fees.

Jordan has also assisted Tim in researching and drafting a California Supreme Court brief (Orchard Estate Homes v. Orchard Homeowners Alliance (2019) 32 Cal.App.5th 32).

Memberships and Activity

Jordan is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Community Association's Institute ("CAI") and the California Association of Community Managers ("CACM"). Jordan serves on the Publications Committee for the San Diego Chapter of CAI. In 2022, Jordan had the pleasure of speaking at a San Diego County - North County - CAI morning program.

Professional History

Jordan earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2020 where she was awarded the Academic Merit Scholarship and Dean’s Diversity Scholarship. She also served as Treasurer for the Children’s Advocacy Law Society and as a student tutor. Prior to law school, Jordan worked as a legal assistant for a private civil firm specializing in family law, bankruptcy, probate, and estate planning. During law school, she worked as a law clerk for various civil litigation firms.
